IC System is a privately held accounts receivable management firm founded in 1938 on the principle of ethical collection practices. Now in our third generation of family ownership, our purpose is “Making Collections Better.” This simple statement guides every decision our leaders make and influences every interaction we have with consumers, our clients, our industry, and our community.
As a result, the Better Business Bureau® of Minnesota and North Dakota has named IC System as the 2021 Torch Awards for Ethics. Additionally, IC System was a finalist for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2019. IC System nurtures our culture by recognizing greatness when we see it. Our commitment to culture is best summarized by how every employee feels part of a larger whole—what we often call the “IC Family.”
To celebrate our family, we issue quarterly awards for Core Values, annual awards for our President’s Club, and quarterly Innovation awards to reinforce the values that we hold dear. Each year, recipients of these awards meet at the annual IC System awards banquet, where attendees are treated to dinner, games, and prizes.
Whenever someone excels at IC System, we make sure everyone knows about it. We hold a weekly company-wide Microsoft Teams video meeting so everyone feels connected, and we regularly call out individual accomplishments and award recipients.
Our culture is social. Each month, we offer companywide events where employees receive a gift, meal, or entertainment delivered by volunteers. Our team also likes to meet outside of work: we have bowling, golf, and bags leagues throughout the year. And our in-house charity group organizes dozens of community giving events year round. In 2020, we raised over $41,000 and logged 540 volunteer hours.
