Over the last several years, the company has been making significant investments in the Capital Region to foster great culture and collaboration.
In September 2018, Alan Murray, joined the Empire plan as the new CEO and set a mission for the company to materially and measurably improve the health of New Yorkers. This mission is a unifying call-to-action, and is one of the main reasons why employees would say Empire BlueCross is a top workplace. Employees are motivated and excited to deliver on this mission. And they are consistently getting resources to support their work locally. Alan has been prioritizing the Capital Region’s distinct needs and culture with dedicated initiatives such as appointing Jason O'Malley as the team's local leader and investing in a new headquarters.
